Temple Israel's Jack & Ellen Deutsch Family Education Center – which houses both our Preschool and our Religious & Hebrew School – was long overdue to receive the infrastructural, safety, and educational improvements necessary to meet the needs of our community and school families in the 21st-century. To meet the challenge, we launched the Reimagining Campaign for our Education Center in 2017. Thanks to more than 200 generous donors, we’ve been able to move forward with many major and necessary improvements.

WE'RE SO CLOSE TO OUR GOAL!
We are only $1.5M away from having our Education Center fully renovated.
Since we opened our doors in 1886, each generation has stepped forward to make giving an integral part of who we are here at TI. The generosity of our members and school families to the Reimagining Campaign has brought us to the present, enabling us to begin to improve our facilities and strengthen this shared legacy. But we still have work to do to see this project through to fruition.
FINAL RENOVATIONS
This final phase includes:
New lighting, outlets, and wiring in every classroom
New furniture in each classroom
New cabinetry and cubbies in all Preschool classrooms and refinishing existing cabinetry in Religious School classrooms
Refinishing all terrazzo floors in the lobby and stairwells
New intercom system
New asphalt driveway
Playground safety improvements

The Reimagining project for TI’s Education Center cannot be completed without your generosity, and we hope you feel inspired to help us complete the school’s renovation. Gifts over $1,000 can be pledged over 5 years. Please consider direct donations given outright, adding a year to your original pledge, a gift of stock whereby you pay no capital gains tax, donation of a mandatory IRA distribution, or a planned gift through a bequest. We are happy to discuss any of these options.
