Monroe Elementary Halloween Candy and Costume Drive

Sunday, Oct 26th (All day)This month, we need your help for Monroe’s Trunk-or-Treat event. For many of these children, having a safe and joyful Halloween experience isn’t always a given. Your donations of candy and lightly-used costumes and/or volunteering at the Trunk-or-Treat event will bring joy and excitement, creating cherished memories in the school setting.

Holiday Gift Store for Monroe Elementary

Wednesday, Dec 10th 8:00a to 1:30pTo ensure that each child has a holiday gift this season, we’re creating a Gift Store at Monroe so parents or caregivers can select an item and have it beautifully wrapped by volunteers. Drop off new, store-bought gifts in the collection bin located near the May Chapel entrance. It’s a Hanukah mitzvah!

7th Annual Winter Outreach Donation Drive for the Unhoused

Shabbat, Feb 28th (All day)As temperatures drop across the St. Louis region, those experiencing homelessness bear the brunt of the brutal cold. For a 7th year in a row, the Jewish community is coming together to gather winter clothes, warm outerwear, and shoes to donate to those in need. (December 2025 - February 2026)

Monroe Elementary Snack Collection

Shabbat, Feb 28th (All day)Let's warm tummies and hearts with a snack collection for Monroe Elementary! Temple Israel is collecting individually packaged snack donations to support the hard-working students at Monroe Elementary through the spring semester. Drop off individually packaged, store-bought snacks now through February at the Education Center at drop off or pick up, or at the Temple’s May Chapel entrance at your convenience.
