Following a student's B'nai Mitzvah, Temple Israel's Youth Leadership (TIYuL) program provides a vital, consistent Jewish education designed to help your child build a strong Jewish identity and foster lifelong friendships and connections. We understand the busy schedules of teenagers, which is why we thoughtfully curated the structure of this program to offer engaging classes that meet less frequently than traditional Religious School, providing space while maintaining a schedule for learning and connection.

This program is for all 8th and 9th graders to enjoy, as well as an expectation for those who wish to become Confirmands in their 10th-grade year. Past topics include "Jewish Science" with a chemistry teacher, "Zionism" with Rabbi Michael, "Jewish Cooking" with a baking expert, "Improv and Jewish Humor" with the director of the New Jewish Theatre, and so much more! The cost for all 8 courses (approximately 2 class meetings per course) for the 2025-26 school year is $400.
