Gatherings for Youth this school year

I’m beyond excited for this fall and all the incredible opportunities ahead for our Temple Israel youth community! It’s going to be a season full of fun, creativity, and connection, and I can’t wait to spend time with all our kids and teens. Whether we’re crafting, celebrating Jewish holidays, or just having a good time together, there’s so much to look forward to.
This year, I’m especially excited about the launch of our new youth board for 8th–12th graders! This group will take on a leadership role, planning their own events while also helping me design fun programming for the younger groups. On top of that, members of the board will have the opportunity to apply for leadership positions like youth group president, vice president, programming, social media, and more. I’m excited for them to take ownership and get creative with all the possibilities for this year.
For our younger groups, we’ll be continuing weekly programming every Sunday that we have Religious School. There will be opportunities for our 3rd–5th and
6th–7th grade groups to meet bi-weekly and enjoy activities like designing Purim carnival games, competing in cupcake wars, and creating holiday crafts. Plus, we’re bringing back many of your favorite events like movie nights, pottery painting parties, and of course, hanging out in the Youth Lounge. These programs are all about having fun, making friends, and creating meaningful Jewish experiences along the way.
I’m so excited for the year ahead and all the amazing memories we’re going to make together. I truly believe this year is going to be something special as we come together, celebrate, and grow as a community. Stay tuned for the full schedule — there’s a lot of fun in store in 2025-26!
PS: Check out our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur opportunities for youth and families, too!
Love,
