SEEKING TEACHERS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER OF TI'S RELIGIOUS & HEBREW SCHOOL

Our first semester has been wonderful at Temple Israel Religious & Hebrew School! Our students have been busy creating Jewish art, making Jewish music, praying together at tefillah, celebrating Jewish holidays, and most importantly, learning about their Judaism.

After a long time without all-school programs, we had our first in November and it was fantastic. Students rotated through stations that included learning how the Torah was made, creating their own edible Torah, and getting to look at an unscrolled Torah up close. The energy in Religious School has been buzzing as we’ve been able to return back to these activities.

We are also excited to share that we are seeking teachers, and high school teens in grades 11-12 who'd like to serve as madrichim (teacher's assistants), to help lead a few of our classes. We're looking for those who have a love of Judaism and a passion for teaching, and who want to help us make Jewish learning fun and accessible. Our classes explore Jewish holidays, Torah, Israel, tzedakah, mitzvot, and Jewish history, instilling a lasting and positive feeling about being Jewish. We also focus on experiential learning opportunities that take Jewish education to a new level by infusing art, cooking, and music into our program.

If you have a child who attends TIRS, we also offer an incredible discount on tuition, as well as hourly pay.

If you want to be part of this special school, please reach out to me. I would love to have additional passionate teachers and madrichim to help spread their love of Judaism to our next generation. View the full TIRS teacher job description at: www.ti-stl.org/jobs

Looking forward to an awesome second semester at TIRS!
