Due to the construction on the Education Building, Camp Shook is being held at Villa Duchesne, and the facility is amazing; complete with a pool so our campers have not missed a beat! The theme of our camp this year has been Lights, Camera, Action and all eight weeks of camp have a very special activity that relates back to that theme.

For the past year or so, the presidents and presidents-elect of the reform temples in St. Louis have been meeting regularly to discuss issues of mutual interest and how we can better collaborate. Here at Temple Israel, we recognize the growing number of interfaith families in our congregation. We are a diverse community made up of Jews (whether by birth or by choice), people from other faiths, people who do not practice a religion, and people who are still deciding how they wish to self-identify.

We recently got back from our Confirmation class trip, where we led our high school sophomores through New York to experience Jewish life and think about their own Jewish journeys.
