Women's ConnecTIon

The mission of Women's ConnecTIon is simple: To unite all generations of female members at Temple Israel together through periodic events and community service. No matter where you are in your life, Women's ConnecTIon provides a welcoming and inclusive space for women to celebrate each other and grow together through Jewish programs, holiday observance, social events and opportunities to give back to our community and to those in need.

Women's ConnecTIon creates opportunities for women of all ages to connect with one another and find their place within the congregation and within Judaism through social, religious, and social action events scheduled throughout the year. Past programs have included a Girls' Night Out,  Dressing on a Budget, and a Women's Seder.

We'd love to have you join us for an upcoming event!

2015-16 Events:
3rd Annual Women’s ConnecTIon Passover Seder
Thursday, April 28, 2016
The 3rd annual Women’s ConnecTIon Women’s Seder was lots of fun! More than 100 women from the Temple Israel community and beyond enjoyed a traditional Seder meal, 4 cups (or more) of wine, and desserts, while following a special Haggadah designed just for this Seder. This year’s Seder included pauses for table conversation, where attendees shared their personal stories of the phenomenal women who have shaped their Judaism, paving the way for their own holiday traditions.
And of course, fabulous music filled the Shoenberg Foyer, led by Rabbi Amy Feder and by musician Sharol Brickman on acoustic guitar. Guests accompanied each tune with table top drum beats and a little harmony help from members of TI’s Chavurat Shira choir who were scattered at different tables throughout. The room rang with joy and togetherness, while we all celebrated the Seder tradition in new, creative, and inspirational ways.

Soups, S'mores, and Sweaters in the Sukkah
Thursday, October 1, 2015
Over 50 women of all ages gathered together for a night of soups, s’mores and sweaters in our fabulous TI sukkah. It was a chilly night, but there was lots of warmth as we enjoyed hearty appetizers, delicious soups from Soup 4 You in the Lou, hot chocolate (some spiked with Bailey’s Irish Cream), s’mores over the camp fire, catching up with new friends and old, and collecting more than 150 sweaters to donate to the NCJW Resale Shop!
