Since 1985, the Deutsch Early Childhood Center has been certified by the Missouri Board of Voluntary Accreditation for Early Childhood Education as a preschool adhering to the highest standards of early childhood education.
Our lead staff is composed of certified teachers and specialists with many years of experience. Our Project Construct curriculum promotes learning and development by engaging children in activities that inspire experimentation and stimulate students to recognize problems and create solutions. Emphasis is placed on developing positive self esteem through a wide variety of hands on activities which encourage play, develop natural curiosity and stimulate creative thinking.
An atmosphere of empathy and acceptance of feelings is stressed. It promotes cooperation between the students themselves and encourages interactions with everyone. The learning environment takes into account what the students already know and helps them achieve the next level.
The students begin their Jewish education through interactions with the Rabbis along with the celebration of Jewish holidays through songs, prayers, and feast. Active parental involvement and open communication between the school and home are encouraged!
All children will participate in art, music, Hebrew, Spanish, movement, and science and nature. We have a fabulous science room that promotes investigative learning!
All children 3 and older will be screened with the Dial 4 screening. This is a developmental screening. With this screening we will be able to focus on the skills that your child excels at as well as the ones that (s)he needs to work on as (s)he approaches kindergarten.
Children ages 5 and younger can be screened through JPAT, our Jewish Parents as Teachers program.
