About Giving to Temple Israel

Your gift supports our mission to help people of all ages and backgrounds grow Jewishly  through Torah (Study), Avodah (Worship) and Gimilut Chasadim (Acts of Loving Kindness).

Charitable donations over and above dues are essential to the life of every synagogue including our own. Annual membership dues and tuition fees only cover a portion of the actual cost of our wide range of spiritual, educational and cultural activities. Your gift today will ensure that future generations will grow up in a strong community of Jewish tradition and learning.

So, thank you for your interest in giving to Congregation Temple Israel. Donations to our Temple can be made online, by phone, via email or the US Mail, or in person at our Temple's office. All donations to the synagogue are tax-deductible.

Make a Tribute Donation

Tribute donations are a thoughtful way to honor or memorialize a friend or family member or celebrate a special occasion. You can direct these donations to one of  TI's many funds that enhance temple programs, expand opportunities for children or youth, ensure our written heritage or provide assistance to the needy.  Or, you can choose to let TI apply your gift to the area that needs it most. To make a tribute donation online, click here.

Perpetual Memorials

A Perpetual Memorial donation ensures that your name and/or the names of your loved ones will be maintained in the memory of the congregation via the temple's Memorial Book and will be remembered at their yartzheit every year. If you are interested in establishing a Perpetual Memorial, please e-mail Sydney Masin or call her at (314) 432-8050.

Wall of Honor:  Some congregants choose to enhance their perpetual memorial gift with an additional plaque on the Temple's Wall of Honor. The Wall of Honor is located in the Kriegshaber Foyer opposite the main entrance to the sanctuary and is a permanent and integral part of the foyer. If you are interested in making a Wall of Honor tribute, please e-mail Sydney Masin or call her at (314) 432-8050.
