Jewish Parents As Teachers

Now Enrolling for 2012-13

All families in the St. Louis Jewish community with children from birth to age 3 are invited to enroll in Jewish Parents as Teachers (JPAT), a community-wide program administered by Temple Israel's Deutsch Early Childhood Center. The Judaic content for the program has been created by the St. Louis Central Agency for Jewish Education (CAJE).

Modeled after the Missouri Parents as Teachers program, J-PAT includes:

  • Three home visits annually by a certified parent educator
  • Developmental screenings
  • Parent group discussion sessions
  • Open group playtime
  • Age-appropriate family activities designed to help parents instill Jewish values in their young children
