Jewish Parents As Teachers
Now Enrolling for 2016-17
All families in the St. Louis Jewish community with children from birth to age 5 are invited to enroll in Jewish Parents as Teachers (JPAT), a community-wide program administered by Temple Israel's Deutsch Early Childhood Center. The Judaic content for the program has been created by the St. Louis Central Agency for Jewish Education (CAJE).
Modeled after the Missouri Parents as Teachers program, J-PAT includes:
- Three home visits annually by a certified parent educator
- Developmental screenings
- Parent group discussion sessions
- Open group playtime
- Age-appropriate family activities designed to help parents instill Jewish values in their young children
For more information on fees and enrollment, visit www.j-pat.org or contact J-PAT Director Leslie Wolf at 314-567-4299 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program has been made possible, in part, by a grant from the Kranzberg Family Foundation, by contributions from generous community donors, and by Congregation Temple Israel.
J-PAT is also seeking educators who are interested in implementing the J-PAT program for a few hours per week. If you would like more information, please contact Leslie Wolf, Director of J-PAT, at 314-432-8076 or email@example.com.
