Jewish Federation of St. Louis Awards $4,000 to Temple Israel Religious School for Inclusivity Program
Jewish Federation of St. Louis has awarded $50,000 in grants to 14 Jewish schools, agencies and congregations for inclusive programs. This is the third year that the Jewish Federation of St. Louis has allocated Mini Grants in order to help Jewish organizations eliminate barriers for full inclusion of individuals with disabilities and their families in the Jewish community. The 14 projects present a variety of inclusive programs around topics such as accessibility, student support and training/workshops. Requests totaling almost $65,000 were received.
The 2017 Inclusion Mini Grant recipients include Temple Israel, which will use the funding to improve inclusivity of the religious school by providing professional development for teachers working with students with special needs; learning assistants for one on one support; a learning lab; and an on-site supervisor who will serve as a resource for teachers and parents.
Thank you to Jewish Federation of St. Louis for choosing TI as one of the 14 recipients for 2017.
If you have questions about the scope of how this grant funding will be used, please contact Leslie Wolf, Director of Family Education, at email@example.com or 314-432-8076.
