Congregation Temple Israel - Testimonials - "We Feel Like Part of the Family"

Interfaith couple face important choices when they have children. How do we guide the religious faith of our kids? I'm Protestant, and my husband is Jewish. We agreed that we wanted our children to follow one faith. Temple Israel helped us find the balance we needed.
We joined the congregation after Allison was born. Temple Israel felt like a natural choice because my husband's family has been members for several generations.

Even though I've not converted, I've always felt a sense of belonging at Temple Israel. We enrolled the kids in their pre-school, the Deutsch Early Childhood Center. They even asked me to serve as head of one of the parent's committee!

Both children now attend Sunday School - Sam in kindergarten, and Allison in fifth grade. Allison also attends Hebrew school. My parents often attend school activities and special occasions and feel as welcome as I do. They get to share in their grandchildren's lives and feel very comfortable at Temple Israel.

We've made many friends, connected to others through the children and have become very close with other families. Temple Israel is a welcoming environment for interfaith couples. It's a natural fit for you and your children.
