About Our Board of Trustees
Congregation Temple Israel is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. There are thirty-six members of the Board, plus nine officers. In addition, the Senior Rabbi, the Associate Rabbi and the Assistant Rabbi are voting members of the Board. Trustees are elected for a three-year term at the annual meeting of the congregation. Board members may serve a maximum of two three-year terms. Executive officers are exempt from this rule. Each year one-third of the Trustees elected are new to the Board. The president of the Sisterhood is also a member of the Board, for the term of her office.
