About Our Board of Trustees
Congregation Temple Israel is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. There are thirty-six members of the Board,
plus ten officers. In addition, the Senior Rabbi is a voting member of the Board.
Trustees-at-large are elected for a three-year term at the annual meeting of the congregation. Board members may serve a maximum of two three-year terms.
Officers are exempt from this rule.
Each year one-third of the Trustees-at-large elected are new to the Board. The president of the Sisterhood is also a member of the Board, for the term of her office.
