The mission of the Fred and Vida Fabric Jewish Life Institute is to cultivate stronger bonds and commitment to Jewish life within our homes, the Temple Israel family, and the community. To that end, the Institute meets regularly to evaluate how the temple is doing in these areas and make recommendations for ways to improve Jewish life in our community. Examples of programs instituted as a result of the Fabric Institute include Casual Shabbat, Jewish Living in 2003 and Bi-annual meetings of committee chairs. The Fabric fund has been used to subsidize temple programs such as Jewish Living in 2003 as well as our tent which houses our High Holiday Youth Services.
